Lasting adipose tissue reduction through ultrasound - without surgery
Pain-free disintegration of adipose cells by ultrasound probes that are placed on the skin can, in many cases, reduce the adipose tissue. This method, generally known as "Cavitation" (or "Cavitazione"), is occasionally also offered by cosmetic institutes, but their machines have strongly limited energy yields and are mostly not very effective. Our institute offers "Cavitation" using a powerful machine developed by a renowned European manufacturer which can only be used on recommendation by a doctor. The energy level of this machine is significantly higher and we have proven its effectiveness in a test series with voluntary test persons.
Lasting impact
As mature adipose cells can no longer divide and multiply, their removal through "Cavitation" or liposuction leads to a lasting reduction in numbers and to a reduction of the treated fat layer.
Appropriate cases
We use the medical procedure specifically in the following cases:
- Breeches fat
- Stomach fat
- Arm fat
- Leg fat
- Lipoedema
Not every patient reacts to treatment in the same way and in some isolated cases the result can be unsatisfactory. However, the majority of treatments are a success.
The treatment
It normally takes between 10 and 15 sessions to reduce subcutaneous fat as desired. Should there be no visible effect after 5 sessions, we will discontinue the treatment as this suggests that success is unlikely. The procedure consists of flat probes that are attached to the areas meant to be treated with belts that emit the selected energy level. Furthermore a moveable probe is manually applied to certain areas. The treatment is completely pain-free, the patient merely feels a tickling or warm sensation. Every session last between 20 and 30 minutes and is supplemented with a manual or pneumatic lymphatic drainage (also at the institute) to support the evacuation of the disintegrated adipose cells via the lymphatic system.
Contraindications
The "Cavitation" should not be applied during acutely inflammatory processes, as well as to thrombosis patients or during pregnancy.
Complications
So far we have not come across any complications and the available literature does not suggest any complications will arise if the procedure is executed correctly.
Treatment costs
If the treatment is requested for purely aesthetic reasons, patients in Germany have to add a VAT of 19% to the treatment costs. The VAT is not necessary when the treatment is medically indicated (lipoedema). The current treatment prices can be looked up in our list of treatment costs.
