Removal of troubling veins on the back of the hand - hand rejuvenation

The decline of connective tissue and increasing age causes the veins on the back of the hand to protrude strongly. These knotty veins bother a lot of people immensely - they simply feel too young for such "old hands". Up until now such veins were sometimes simply degenerated (sadly without much success) or removed surgically. However, the latter is rather elaborate and, of course, also leads to scarring.

Gentle modern catheter treatment

Due to the advancement of catheter treatments (not least by our institute) we can now treat these veins very gently in an ambulatory session under local anaesthesia. We use various radio frequency and superheated steam catheters which enables us to close the veins in such a manner that the body itself disintegrates them. We trust the same principles that have allowed us to successfully treat more than 6,000 cases of varicose veins.

Treatment procedure and after-treatment

The treatment last roughly one hour and is a pain-free ambulatory procedure. The patients will not experience any pain after the treatment. They will, however, have to wear compression gloves for 5 days (of course one can wear other gloves over them) and remain completely operational - for both work and sport. We will examine the result after 2 to 3 days and are happy to re-examine after 6 weeks (optional).
