Costs of Treatment

The Private Institute for Surgery Munich and its predecessor institutions have always adhered strictly to the currently valid scale of charges and fees for physicians (GOÄ). Moreover, the institutes never increased their rates when there was no increase scheduled in the respective scale.

Thereby, we are able to provide all of our privately insured patients with orderly invoices. These invoices are usually (within the framework of the respective insurance contract) fully covered by the insurers.

You are more than welcome to contact our external medical clearing centre PAS Dr. Hammerl GmbH, Nördlingen, to learn about their experiences with our institute.

Patients who are not privately insured are informed about the binding costs after the diagnosis and before we arrange an appointment for surgery.

Patients from abroad can ask for all necessary information up front. A deviation from the actual costs is possible at all times (approximately +/- 15 %). In order to conduct an estimation of costs, we need to know the important facts, for instance, are you experiencing troubles in one leg or two, and what kind of treatment does it require (e.g.: varicose vein-treatment, open leg or the technique of vein-stentings for the post thrombotic syndrome).
